My Experience and Recommendation
As a long-time Amazon Prime member, I originally started using the standard Amazon Music service which is free for Amazon Prime members. I loved how convenient it was to listen either in a web browser or via the standalone application. The sound quality was very good and I could easily locate and play many of the songs I wanted to listen to.
However, as an audiophile and music lover, I wanted to hear my selected tracks in the highest quality possible and be able to find and play just about any song I could possibly think of. And that included artists and bands well outside of the mainstream. Amazon Music Unlimited filled that need by giving me access to over 100 million tracks (compared to the 2 million of the standard service), many in High Definition (HD) or Ultra High Definition (ULTRA HD). Some can even be experienced in spatial audio (Dolby Atmos or 360 Reality Audio).
